ESL teachers (both new and veteran) often struggle with materials and keeping up with the demands of districts when sticking to the curriculum. This is no easy feat, especially with newcomers who simply need to learn English beginning at the phonics level. But with ChatGPT, I have found that this tool can make a once daunting task much more manageable. You just have to know what to ask it. For this, I made a DIY video of sorts to help those teachers who don’t quite know how to get this process started. Feel free to drop comments or suggestions of your own, share this video with other teachers and subscribe to my YouTube channel. I believe ChatGPT is a game changer for everyone in education.

This is such a timely and empowering post! As someone who has worked extensively with English Learners, especially newcomers, I really appreciate how you’ve not only acknowledged the challenges we face, but also offered a practical, forward-thinking solution through AI.

Your DIY video is a great resource for teachers who may feel overwhelmed or unsure of where to start. The truth is, many educators are curious about using tools like ChatGPT but don’t know how to align them with curriculum expectations or language objectives. Your approach bridges that gap beautifully.

I also love that you’re inviting collaboration through comments and suggestions. This kind of shared learning is exactly what we need more of in our professional communities. I’m looking forward to exploring your YouTube channel and sharing your video with colleagues. Thank you for using technology to make our work smarter, not harder!
